Clean House, Style network’s flagship cluttered home renovating show, is getting rid of two of its four hosts. I got a casting notice looking for a “Go-To Guy” and a “Yard Sale Diva,” positions that used to be occupied by Matt Iseman and Trish Suhr. While Iseman’s moved onto greener (or at least, more manly) pastures as the host of the new Sports Soup (check out our interview with him here), I don’t know if Suhr was fired or just decided to move on. The last regular woman on that show, Linda Koopersmith, sued after she was let go, alleging age discrimination. Maybe Suhr got too old, too? Either way, whoever replaces the departing hosts won’t be any more knowledgeable about home improvement and yard sales than their predecessors were—the casting notice stresses that it’s looking for comedians and improvisers for the roles, while carpentry skills are “not necessary.” Lame move—the mugging and tired jokes are probably the weakest part of the show, which has all the comedy it needs in host Niecy Nash.
