He told the British broadcaster he was “drunk with excitement” after signing the deal with Warner Music Entertainment, which grants him to work with well-known producer Joe Henry.

“I know the history of actors making music is a checkered one, but I promise no one will get hurt,” Laurie said. “I am particularly thrilled to be working with Joe Henry, who has produced some of my favorite records of all time, and I cannot wait to get started.”

Henry has produced albums for Solomon Burke, Ani DiFranco, Aimee Mann and Bettye LaVette, among others.

The 24-year-old actress who got her begin on Nickelodeon’s “All That” followed by “The Amanda Show,” tweeted her retirement last month saying “”I do not love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it.”

However, Bynes reversed the decision Friday, tweeting to her fans: “I’ve unretired,” People magazine reported.

Bynes will next been seen on the huge screen Sept. 17 in “Easy-A,” described by People as a high school comedy.

Her husband, Frederic von Anhalt, told the Los Angeles Times his wife spoke a few words Saturday but was still in critical condition.

She had a blood transfusion Friday night and her physicians expressed hope she would soon be eating on her own, von Anhalt told the newspaper.

Gabor’s publicist stated the actress may have suffered a concussion along with the broken arm when she fell out of bed while trying to answer the telephone on July 17.

The show is expected to follow the 26-year-old recording artist and former Danity Kane lead singer Aubrey O’Day as she begins the next stage of her career.

The announcement regarding the show was made Tuesday by Amy Introcaso-Davis, Oxygen’s senior vice president of original programming and development.

But this time it’s going to be different … it’s going to be on her terms.”

Lohan, 24, was jailed for failing to comply with the terms of her probation for a 2007 driving under the influence conviction.

A Sheriff’s Department booking document obtained by the Los Angeles Times stated the actress is expected to be released from a Lynwood, Calif., jail Aug. 2, after having served only 14 days of her sentence, due to prison overcrowding. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore later stated Lohan’s “projected release date is Aug. 1 or Aug. 2,” meaning there is a possibility she will be out of jail in even less time.

The Times previously cited an unnamed Sheriff’s Department source as saying Robert Shapiro, who concurred to defend the “Freaky Friday” actress last week, is no longer Lohan’s lawyer.

The attorney was part of the team that successfully defended O.J. Simpson against murder charges.

Lohan had been staying in a sober-living facility Shapiro founded since last week. It is unclear when she left the facility.

The newspaper stated Lohan’s former lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, is again representing the actress.

Despite Shapiro’s departure from the case and her own imminent incarceration, Lohan took to Twitter Monday to update friends and fans on how she is feeling.

“The only ‘bookings’ that I’m familiar with are Disney Films. never thought that I’d be “booked” into Jail … eeeks,” Lohan tweeted.

Johnston, 20, and Bristol Palin, 19, recently confirmed they are engaged for a second time.

The Alaska natives previously planned to wed, but called it off shortly after the birth of their son Tripp in December 2008.

“There is a lot of public speculation that Bristol and Levi have signed up for a reality show about their relationship. They have not,” Bristol Palin’s representative told UsMagazine.com.

“While several networks have pitched different concepts, Bristol has not concurred to participate in any show. Her focus remains on doing what is ideal for Tripp and her family.”

The news came shortly after Osbourne announced she and fiance Luke Worrall had broken up, OK! Magazine said.

The couple called off their wedding plans last week amid reports Worrall cheated on Osbourne, a former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant who is the daughter of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne and TV personality Sharon Osbourne.

“My life just could not get any worst right now. I come home to find my dog Woody is dead,” Osbourne’s Sunday Twitter message said.

The dog’s breed and age were not reported.

Hilton, 29, was released without charges shortly after police allegedly found less than a gram of marijuana in her possession, The Daily Telegraph and Us Weekly magazine reported Saturday.

The Corse-Matin newspaper stated Hilton was disembarking from a private jet on the French island of Corsica and was scheduled to board a yacht heading to Porto Cervo in Sardinia, Italy, Us reported.

Hilton was arrested earlier this month in South Africa during the World Cup quarterfinal match between Brazil and the Netherlands, where her friend was found in possession of a marijuana cigarette.

Hilton was not charged, and her arrest was chalked up to a case of “mistaken identity.”
